$1,000 Shopping Sweepstakes. Shop at participating stores in Downtown Paterson from November 13th-25th and enter
to win a $1,000 shopping sweepstakes. Winner will be announced on Black Friday, November 27th. *Winner will
receive a $1,000 check card.

December:

City-Wide Holiday Parade into Downtown Paterson. Dec. 12th at 7:00 pm. The Grand stand will be located across from City Hall on Market Street. Over 20 festive floats and several marching bands and performers will march in the parade. Look for the Merchants and Businesses of Downtown Paterson float for giveaways and a list of holiday shopping promotions at participating Downtown Paterson stores. City Hall Tree Lighting to take place immediately after the parade. All kids under 14 years of age along the Market Street parade route will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win one of three X-Box game systems. Prizes sponsored by the Merchants and Businesses of Downtown Paterson.

FREE Pictures with Santa Claus in Downtown Paterson. Saturdays: Dec. 5th, 12th, 19th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Exact locations to be announced.

Black History Film Festival. Hosted by Councilman Anthony Davis. Held at Passaic County Community College. A different film to be shown each week at the 300 seat theater PCCC’s Downtown Paterson campus on College Blvd. Free refreshments will be served. Valentine’s Day Cruise Giveaway. Shop Downtown Paterson stores for loved ones this Valentine’s Day and enter to win a romantic cruise for two. Enter at participating stores from Feb. 1st-14th. Winner will be announced at the televised Paterson City Council meeting following Valentine’s Day. Winner must be 21 years or older. Cruise will take place in the Spring.

13th Annual City-Wide Drum Clinic and Music Workshop. February 20th. Takes place at the Paterson Museum. Presented by C-Clear Productions and the Merchants and Businesses of Downtown Paterson.

March:

March Madness Shopping Promotion. Get all your NCAA tournament watching gear at the many Downtown Paterson sports stores. Enter the Basketball Free Throw competition to win a cash prize.

April:

FREE Pictures with the Easter Bunny in Downtown Paterson. Every Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Sponsored by the Merchants and Businesses of Downtown Paterson. 

May:

Mother’s Day. Various shopping promotions will take place, including a hair and nail salon package to pamper mom. Participating stores and restaurants will feature special pricing on Mother’s Day.

June:

Sidewalk Sale. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Shop Downtown Paterson sidewalks as merchants put their seasonal and inventory clearances and bargains on the sidewalks. Clowns will roam the Downtown shopping district making balloon animals for kids every Saturday.

July:

4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Passaic County’s largest fireworks display will take place the weekend of the 4th of July. The show’s pyrotechnics are shot off of Garret Mountain overlooking the City of Paterson’s Downtown and Historic areas. Sponsored by the Merchants and Businesses of Downtown Paterson. 

August:

Back to School Street Festival. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. There will also be a car show in Downtown Paterson. Exact details to be announced.

11th Annual Halloween Extravaganza. Takes place at Downtown Paterson’s Lou Costello Memorial Park. FREE entertainment and attractions for kids as well as a costume contest with prizes.
